The founder of Blue Ridge Distillery was born and raised in Greenville, SC., so he has a special love for the area.

He also has a passion for creating things...

from woodworking to technology solutions to distilling spirits, he loves to create.

With that passion came the idea to create a distillery in the Upstate of South Carolina.

The business concept became a reality in 2023 when the founder happened across an opportunity to receive funding from folks with hearts as big as their success!

These folks had spent their careers crafting and creating success in various businesses.

One is the famous American businesswoman, Barbara Corcoran. The other is the founder of Jefferson's Bourbon, Trey Zoeller. They wanted to "pay it forward" and bless a future entrepreneur by providing funding for someone that may have been struggling to find a way to fund their idea.

Based on the entrepreneurial spirit of Trey's 8th generation grandmother, Marian McLain, the 2 successful business people created a competition for someone to win funding for a business concept. 

The Founder of the beloved Blue Ridge Distillery was chosen to receive the 2023 McLain Entrepreneurial Fund Prize, and now, as they say..."the rest is history".

The Upstate of South Carolina (and maybe one day the world) is thankful for the generosity of Barbara Corcoran and Trey Zoeller!
